CATTLE CLASSES SCHEDULE

Class 1 - NATIVE STEER - Subdivided by weight on the day
Class 2 - NATIVE HEIFER - Subdivided by weight on the day
Class 3-9 - CONTINENTAL STEER - Subdivided by weight on the day
Class 10 - YOUNG FARMERS STEER - Any Breed, Any Weight (to be shown by exhibitor and not shown in any other class)
Class 11 - SPECIAL CLASS for Best Charolais Sired Steer, kindly sponsored by British Charolais Cattle Society.  All animals must have been entered and show in classes 3-10 or 25-26 (Prizes awarded – BCCS Vouchers)
Class 12-21 - CONTINENTAL HEIFER - Subdivided by weight on the day
Class 22 - YOUNG FARMERS HEIFER - Any Breed, Any Weight (to be shown by exhibitor and not shown in any other class)
Class 23 - SPECIAL CLASS for Best Charolais Sired Heifer, kindly sponsored by British Charolais Cattle Society.  All animals must have been entered and show in classes 12-22 or 27-31 (Prizes awarded – BCCS Vouchers)

BABY BEEF & YOUNG HANDLER CLASSES SCHEDULE

Class 24 - BABY BEEF NATIVE STEER or HEIFER, born on or after 1st January 2022 with a maximum weight of 400kgs. (any animal weighing 401kgs and more on the day of weighing will automatically be moved to the appropriate class from 1 and 2)
Class 25-26 - BABY BEEF CONTINENTAL STEER, born on or after 1st January 2022 with a maximum weight of 400kgs. (any animal weighing 401kgs and more on the day of weighing will automatically be moved to the appropriate class from 3-9)
Class 27-31 - BABY BEEF NATIVE STEER or HEIFER, born on or after 1st January 2022 with a maximum weight of 400kgs. (any animal weighing 401kgs and more on the day of weighing will automatically be moved to the appropriate class from 12-21)
Class 32 - YOUNG HANDLERS CLASS – handler to be aged 14 years and under on day of show
Class 33 - YOUNG HANDLERS CLASS – handler to be aged 15-21 years on day of show

SPECIAL PRIZES

BABY BEEF SUPREME CHAMPION: £200
BEEF BEEF RESERVE SUPREME CHAMPION (Classes 24-31): £50
The Baby Beef Champion & Reserve are not eligible for the Overall Championship

CHAMPION STEER (Classes 1, 3-10): £200
CHAMPION HEIFER (Classes 2, 12-22): £200    

SUPREME CHAMPION ANIMAL: £500 and the Robert Scott Memorial Perpetual Challenge Trophy

RESERVE SUPREME CHAMPION ANIMAL: £250 and the Borderway Agri-Expo Perpetual Challenge Trophy

SPECIAL H&H AWARD: £500 (Presented to the Champion Animal)
Awarded to the exhibitor who has purchased the animal through the sale ring at an H&H centre or if it is home-bred and subsequently sold through an H&H centre.
