Borderway Agri Expo has further strengthened its position as one of the UK's leading showcases for pedigree and commercial livestock with the announcement that the British Limousin Cattle Society National Calf Show and the British Charolais Cattle Society National Calf Show will join the 2026 event.
Organised by Harrison & Hetherington and taking place on Friday 30th October 2026 at Borderway Mart, Carlisle, Agri Expo is the UK's largest autumn livestock event, attracting leading commercial and pedigree cattle and sheep from across the UK.
For many years, the event has hosted National Calf Shows for several of the UK's leading pedigree beef breeds, including Aberdeen-Angus, Beef Shorthorn, British Blue, Hereford and Simmental. The addition of the British Limousin Cattle Society National Calf Show and the British Charolais Cattle Society National Calf Show takes the total number of National Calf Shows at Agri Expo to seven, further reinforcing the event's reputation as one of the country's premier showcases for young pedigree beef cattle.
Both competitions are open to UK-born, pedigree-registered cattle born on or after 1 July 2025. Each championship will feature classes for bull and heifer calves, pairs and young handlers. Awards will include Male Champion, Female Champion, Champion Pair, Overall Champion and Reserve Overall Champion. The Overall Champion from each breed section will then go forward to compete in the prestigious Borderway Agri Expo Pedigree Calf Interbreed Championship.
The British Limousin Cattle Society National Calf Show will be judged by Thomas Illingworth of the Glenrock Herd, while Matthew Milne of the Elgin Charolais Herd will judge the British Charolais Cattle Society National Calf Show.

Borderway Agri Expo continues to attract some of the largest and highest-quality calf show entries in the UK and has become an important fixture in the UK's livestock calendar, attracting exhibitors and buyers from across the country.
