With just one week to go until Borderway Agri Expo on Friday 30th October, we’re looking forward to welcoming you to Borderway Mart, Carlisle.
From livestock judging and championships to competitions, discussions and catching up with friends, there’s plenty to enjoy. To help you plan your visit, here’s your guide to the day.
Your Programme for the Day
8am Agri Expo opens.
8.30am Judging begins for Baby Beef, the Aberdeen-Angus Winter National Show, National Prime Sheep classes, Border British Blue Club Calf Show and Northwest Simmental Club Youngstock Show.
9am National Suckled Calf and Cattle classes begin. The Gift Ring opens until 4pm.
10.15am Cumbria Mayoral Hustings.
11.30am Beef Shorthorn and Hereford National Calf Shows begin.
12 noon Auctioneering Competition.
British Charolais National Calf Show begins at approximately noon.
12.30pm H&H seminar: Imports and the Future of British Beef and Sheep Farming.
1pm David Thomlinson Lifetime Achievement Award presentation in the Main Arena, presented by Robin Anderson.
1.30pm Mule Ewe Lamb judging.
British Limousin National Calf Show begins at approximately 1.30pm.
2pm Best Trade Stand Awards in the Main Arena.
3.30pm Interbreed Pedigree Championship in the Pedigree Arena.
4pm Cattle Championship Awards and Presentations in the Main Arena.
5pm Event closes.
Please note that timings may be subject to change as judging progresses.
Important Parking Information
Parking at Borderway is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Overflow parking has been arranged and will be clearly signposted. Please follow all Agri Expo traffic and parking signs, along with directions from our parking stewards.
We strongly encourage visitors to share cars wherever possible to help ease pressure on parking and keep traffic flowing.
Parking stewards will be on site on Thursday and Friday. Please respect our neighbours and do not park in neighbouring business or private car parks. Vehicles parked illegally will be reported to the police.
